The Fear of The Lord (Dev 2)

Ephesians 1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
There is the fear of the Lord that is a guarantee of abundance of life as yielded by Christ to us. It is a kingdom principle that rewards the faithful in keeping it. It’s not a fear demonstrated by observing our religious obligations. Neither by meeting the desires and the spiritual needs of a congratulation. Sure it is more than that. It is a deep conception that happens in our spirits we have an encounter with the Lord.
Psalm34: 12;

The man who desires!
The man who loves many days!
The man who want to see good in his day!
Let this man Vs 13

  • Keep your tongue from Evil.
  • Your lips from speaking receipt.
  • Depart from Evil and do Good.
  • Seek peace and pursue it.
This lifestyle is a pure demonstration of the fear of The Lord resident in our spirits, souls and minds. They are principles without which our promised life more abundantly will be cattailed, the ministry prosperity will be shattered.
Numbers 12:12 Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman. 2 So they said, “Has the Lordindeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?” And the Lord heard it… 9 So the anger of the Lord was aroused against them, and He departed. 10 And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam became leprous, as white as snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper…12 Please do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb!”13 So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please heal her, O God, I pray!”14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not be shamed seven days? Let her be shut out of the camp seven days, and afterward she may be received again.”
Miriam and Aaron though being anointed, choosen by the Lord; whom the Lord as well spoke stooped to the schemes of the enemy: discrediting and questioning the ministry of Moses. They yielded to:
  • A tongue of Evil.
  • Speaking deciept.
  • Doing Evil.
  • Forsaking peace within themselves.
This simple act as it seems points to the lack of the fear of the Lord in the heart of this two ministers. The Lord heard them and was ready to confront their heart disposition…’He is the Lord who fashions our hearts’. Lack of reverence to the Lord will hamper our ministry hear on earth. It so happened to Miriam and the situation was to remain so but Moses pleaded for her case to the Lord. The helpless question is:
  • How many of us have people who can plead their case to the Lord even after conspiring against them??
  • How many knows one who can stand and ask for restoration of grace to minister to them or one who speaks deciept and does evil towards them?
May the Lord help us to understand that it is our responsibility to guard the anointing and our Grace by perpetuating pure fear it the Almighty in us. We have a responsibility to keep ourselves in the ‘ life more abundantly’. Reckless life as a Christian is a guarantee to a life full of frustration and displeasure.
Our choice of behavior and words perfectly defines the disposition of the fear of God in us. May we seek for a resetting and re-dispositioning in our hearts by the Spirit of God.

The Fear of The Lord That Gives Life. (part 1)

There is the fear of the Almighty that is born in the spirit of a man when they have and experience an encounter with the Lord. God told Moses that His visitation to the children of Israel was to cause them to Reverence Him: Exodus 20: And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.” When the fear of God is born in us,one thing we are assured of is life and life in abundance. Grace without the fear of God is no grace; It’s a mastery of the art of deception; and many have fallen prey to such. God is not out to make masters of the art of ministry but a priesthood that walk in deep depths of the fear of God. Deut 6:24 And the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is this day. Our preservation is found in the fear of God. He reaches out to us that He may cause His fear to be born within us. It is not earnable neither can anybody bequeath it to another. You can only learn the pattern of the fear of the Almighty (the lifestyle of one who fears the Lord) from a man or a woman of God though not inherit it. It is the Lord to work it out in the inside of you by revealing Himself to you. God is making this passionate call; Psalm 34:11 Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.12 Who is the man who desires life,And loves many days, that he may see good?13 Keep your tongue from evil,And your lips from speaking deceit.14 Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. As I said, the fear of the Lord is a guarantee to life in abundance. It is the key to accessing the life in abundance that Christ gave liberally. John 10: 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. Though we may have Christ in us, there are things that curtails the abundance of life in Christ. They can go to the extent of reducing/cutting short our lives; even ministry which is the major target by the enemy. Though we have the guarantee of our inheritance by the Holy Spirit, Yet we should not be or live in ignorance of the devices and schemes of the enemy to disinherit us what is rightfully ours.
